Unfortunately, some OverFollow users have been choosing to abuse the system, by mass-following users on the User Matrix, and immediately unfollowing them via Twitter. To correct this, and make it fair for those who are continually following, OverFollow has introduced new changes. On the My Account page, you will now see a Still Following Ratio, which will be the percentage of users you are still following currently. For example, if you followed 10 people, and have since unfollowed 5, your ratio will be 50%. If you choose to unfollow nearly all users you've followed, your ratio will be in the single digits.

This new ratio has alot of power, as the User Matrix will now be displayed by Still Following Ratio first, and points second. If you have a 100% ratio, but only 500 points, you will be displayed above the user that has a 40% ratio with 2000 points. We feel this is most fair to users, as unfollowing users defeats the purpose of OverFollow.

If you wish to correct your mistakes, there is hope! You can refollow the users you've previously unfollowed to improve your rank, but you will not recieve points for refollowing. For users who have unfollowed less than 150 people, we have implemented a "ReFollow All" button on the My Account page that will automatically refollow the users you've previously unfollowed, all in just one click of a button. This will restore your rank on the both Matrix and the Top 25 Users list.

OverFollow has completely revamped its Referral System! The original rules still apply - you get 50 points for each person you refer, but now there's an even bigger reward at stake! For all of the people you refer, you receive 20% of the points they earn! This means you recieve points for everyone they follow, when they promote us, and you recieve 10 points for every person they refer! With the new OverFollow Referral System, the more people you bring in and invite to OverFollow with your Referral URL, the higher you climb up the User Matrix! The more you branch out your referrals, the more points you bring in, every week! So what are you waiting for? Please remember, OverFollow is currently in Open Beta. What does this mean exactly? It means we're just starting off, things are still being tested, features will be added in the following weeks. It's a work in progress! You may notice things acting funny at times, we promise it'll only be temporary. We hope to launch the final version of OverFollow in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
